Premise and New Players Guide

Premise
“Some places just seem to be that way. You know, mystical hot-spots… The Devils Triangle; Sedona, Arizona; New Orleans; Stonehenge; places where strange things just seem to happen. I never used to think much about any of that, I thought it all was all bunk, the work of fiction or an over active imagination (Maybe too much pizza before bedtime.). I never believed any of it before I moved to Seattle. Never thought any of it could be true until I bought a renovated condo in the Old Town Towers. But not even the things I saw there could prepare me for what happened underground. Now, I know things like ghosts and werewolves and such can’t exist, but what about that housekeeping woman that walks through walls, and one time walked right through me? Or that creepy pale guy in D5 who always smells like blood (or the woman beside him that always smells like garlic)? Strange howling sounds, terrified screams, disappearing pets…”

One woman’s harrowing account of her first week in the Old Town Towers. Of course not all have the same experience. Some have none, or simply continue to doubt, chalking their experiences up to coincidence or the settling of an old building. It’s easier that way… to not believe what your innermost mind knows is true. Taboo, superstition, fear… don’t believe and it can’t be real. Deny the unshakable, the persistent, the nagging truth tugging at the edge of your mind.

Ignore it, if you can. Accept it, if you dare. Walk the haunted roads and learn the truth.

Points to Remember When First Starting
•The Game is done in week increments. On the 1st and 15th of every real life month we post a mod post stating the week in games events and weather. Make sure when posting that you include the week and the day that the post is for.
•Everyone loves to plot and play but not everyone is completely out going and will rush to IM or tackle new players. Make use of the plot community which is an easy way to get you and your character out there for plot and to get ideas rolling.
•Though supernaturals are mixed in with humans in this world not many of them are looking to have the veil lifted off human eyes and completely expose themselves to the world. With that in mind demons likely won't be flying through streets for all to see and weres won't be trying to shift in public stores.
•Yes there is police here in the city. If your character attacks someone in public cops will be called and a mess will ensue from it. Even supernaturals have to be aware of the laws...even if many go out of their way to not follow them.
•Remember that characters do not have to live in Old Town Towers. This is an optional location for players to use. We believe it simply makes a good center point and ensures people will run into each other but people can own houses or live in other apartments.
•The underground areas of Seattle are very supernatural infested and not many humans venture down that way; there are too many rumors of deaths and torture. The underground has many illegal businesses running within its depths but it is not a full city in itself. You won't find typical businesses down there nor will you fine pristine streets or brightly lit ways.
•Mods are always available to answer questions even if we aren't on AIM or are listed away. The best, and most reliable, way to reach us is through emails. We will get back to you as soon as we can.

Key Plot Points in Game so Far
•Last year Old Town Towers lost its long time manager Julien Baptiste. The Baptiste sisters took over caring for the Towers until just recently when Dimitri Baptiste returned to take over management of the building.

The Game, for now, is closed.
